Ya know , some people DO go back in the history and check out the post when people actually helped each other. Gotta look at the dates.
I fished the West end on Monday afternoon, but I was really up in the creek. The water was pretty muddy and had a good current after the rains. All I caught were some nice whites.
The water might have cleared up a little by now though.
That public launch on the West end is called Sleepy Hollow and it is a nice ramp for 25HP and under.

I went today. It was the first time I've been there in 3 years. I spider rigged the west end with minnows. Lots of bass & whites but only managed 2 crappie. The two crappie I did catch came from one of the marked brush piles in about 12' of water and were both decent fish. I had a 5-6 pound large mouth on for a few seconds from the same brush pile. She went airborne & that was all she wrote. I plan to give it another go next week. The whites tried to eat all my minnows. It was kind of fun having 3 rods bowed at once.
If you’re wanting to see water clarity above lake maumelle check out the gauge at the hwy10 bridge - last time i looked online i noticed it had a turbidity meter, temp, height, and a couple others.
