Daniel and I were on the lake Wednesday mid afternoon I started hammering fish right off the bat Daniel just kept missing them at one time I asked him if he had hooks on his lines...lol....then he started hooking them up and took me to school we had a total of 19 cats I caught 5 Daniel had the rest of them North end of lake was trashy with water temp at 76 degrees main lake was at 75 Has anybody heard if the Salvation army is still putting on there tournament on the 16th haven't heard or seen anything? Doc
As far as things stand right now there will be NO spring Salvation Army Tournament . The park has been contacted several times and as of yet have NOT received an ok on the dates .
At this point in the month it would be too late to put it together even if the park said ok tomorrow. SO we will try again for a fall tourney for the Salvation Army Tournament on C.J. Brown

I appreciate the feedback! I'm headed to the big lake up north this weekend. Hopefully, I'll put some food in the freezer. Once I get back I hope CJ is back to looking like normal. I'll be headed back prolly on the following Friday. If time allows I'll make it this Thurs. before I head north. Good luck on your surgery Intimidator. Good luck out there!
Was out for 1st time in a year Saturday at daybreak. Just as Brent has been saying (not that I doubted him). Water was 74 in the morning and visibility only about 6 inches and obvious the bottom was now on top. Fished the north end but couldn't get any pattern going, just dinks and then about 8AM caught 3 nice ones over 10 back-to-back-to-back in 10 foot water with slow retrieved paddle tail and then things just stopped again. Dink here and there but nothing consistent. Was out of there by 10. The fish I marked on the FF were all sitting down around 20 feet in the channel. Not the kind of fishing I like to do so. Maybe this week the cooler temps will get things back to normal??? I know it can't be me LOL

Hi everyone, I was out Saturday, sorry for the late post... I caught 9 eyes, 7 crappies, 4 white bass trolling. All of the fish were dinks, no keepers. I did fish a couple of old debris spots in 1-16' of water and fished with minnows, nothing to keep, all white crappies. My water temp gauge was 68-72 degrees one foot under the water. I am really liking my Lund boat.

Cajun Willie and I braved 39 degree temps, 3 foot rollers and whitecaps, and howling winds from Tropical Storm Anna.....but we caught fish all day long!
I had a 5 species day with a nice Smallie, a larger Big Mouth, a couple nice Jacks, a damn kitty, and Plenty of Crappie....Bill stuck with one species all day and excelled at keeping the boat on fish in weird locations.
Water temps were 64 to 68 degrees at all depths....water is pea soup....wind was in your face no matter where we went.
White with alittle Chartreuse was the only good color from morning to evening...when you switched off that color combo, you stopped catching fish and put it back on, then you caught fish again....Bill commented how dang picky they were.
The best fish were caught deep...all the 10.5 to 11 inch Crappie were deep.
