Well, the "Boys of The Night" didn't fare any better, all 3 of them enjoyed the night out also....without catching a thing!
My buddy Pat (who has been Taking Gators home also) sent me a text last night that said it all!...."Dang-it, Nothing...think we cleaned them out!lol".

Hey Jeff, I also used your Churchill quote, as a teaching point for Dale!

I am surprised Rocky is open; I remember going two years ago in March and all but one of the ramps was iced in.

Took Pics, but they showed locations....they will be no pics or info at all, that gives out or shows any of my or other people's locations....too many Lurkers and Trolls, not adding value to the thread or CJ, and looking for the easy way to fish...just like on OGF!

I know that I am MEAN for not just giving out locations to everyone that asks.
MY OPINION is....all these people didn't want to help us with the drops, or take the time to help out CJ in any way, but they expect you to tell them where stuff is and help them catch fish, so they can just go out and plunder the lake, without doing any work that would benefit CJ. WE ALL made sacrifices to help CJ and they didn't, so they can figure it out on their own.
The guys that put time in, know that they only have to call me and I'll tell them exactly what is going on and where I caught fish....same with others who are trying to learn, and will be there if CJ ever needs them again....the rest, best wishes!
Sorry, but I'm tired of people I don't know or bad mouthed me on the other site, PM'ing me, asking where they can go to catch fish and where the cover is....those people unless they just moved here, had 8 yrs to work and learn, so it wasn't important then, their welfare is not important to me now! We have NEW members like Jeff (Crappiedreamer), Jesse (PhantomBB), etc, that are learning and helping, Jeff got in on the drops late, but he picks up trash, gives to people and the lake, and is really learning about CJ....Jesse just spent a lot of extra time helping a member to improve his Bass Fishing...When the drops start up again, they will be there for CJ...IMHO, they are deserving to get whatever help that I can give to them. If I see "someone in need" at the lake, and I know they need the meat, I will help them to catch fish...I'm not just gonna give them fish, but also teach and show them, and they'll walk away with enough Keitech's to make a difference....THAT'S WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT...it's not about limiting or poaching a lake, every time out, and expecting this not to have detrimental actions!
AGAIN, THE COVER WAS MEANT FOR CJ, to help the lake, then all fishermen...NOT FOR FISHERMEN TO SIT ON 24/7 AND USE...you freakin idiots!

Daniel, I'll start taking pics in ways that they fish is the only thing seen...it's sad but that's the world we live in!

Has anyone heard if we will have a bait and fuel store at CJ this year? Carrying fuel last fall was a pain!

Went out from noon til 2, without a bite...water was calm, very little movement.
Went over to visit with Rusty on the ice in the Marina.
The rain and heat put a hurtin' on all that ice....only 4-5 inches of bad ice left in the Marina...don't think the main lake has much more....entire shoreline is water, so ice is floating, wind will wreck it soon....expect to have open water next weekend!
Then, 40 degree water will set Gators, Smallies, perch, and Cats off...will still be SLOW fishing still for Crappie, WB, etc, for a couple weeks after ice out.
Pic of orange and Chartreuse Keitech....same lure in 6 inches of clear water...colors are muting together, but you can still see the silver glitter....20lb braided line is barely visible in 6 inches.
