I have wondered about those mounting brackets from BPS. They even kinda look flemsy in the catalog.... Let us know what you come up with Torch
I have a 2004 4hp johnson I am wanting to mount on the back of my boat. I see some mounts at bass pro but they look dinky.
I think I will have a machine shop build my mount.
Here is the question can you buy control cables for a 4 hp engine.
Brother says he can run a lawn mower throttle cable to the console but I was thinking it will rust and be a pain.
Has anyone done this?

Answers:
1) OK den
2) I dunno
3) I had a cable like that rigged on a boat to a TM that lasted 15 years or so. Got wet a lot. Never had any issues with it sticking. You could always use a throttle cable designed for an O/B if you're worried about it.
4) Umm, no.
Glad I could help.
