depends on where you are...if you get caught on barren you will be fined, taken in, breathalizered and treated like a common theif.

What is the law on beer in the boat in Kentucky? Is it allowed at all?
Thanks!

I will be on Kentucky Lake. My buddy and I don't drink to get drunk, but we do enjoy a beer or two while fishing. Don't care to lose a day's fishing or get fined if it against the law. I am sure we'll get checked, especially since we will be in an out of state boat.
Thanks for the reply
here's a quote straight out of the KDFWR Fishing/Boating Guide -
Drinking in Public and Public Intoxication (KRS 222.202)
"KY law specifically prohibits the drinking of alcoholic beverages in public places (excludes establishments licensed to sell such beverages) and the waterways of this state are considered public places."
So, there you go ... might be a better idea to keep the cool ones at camp, and enjoy them when you return.
Take care, have fun, be safe, catch some fish, and ..........luck2ya ....cp
isn't camp a public place???

What area of Ky Lake are you going to be on? Some of my customers do drink on board, My rule is one six pack per person and no glass. If you are in the Big Sandy area you will be ok to one six pack per person.
