went to hit a couple of new spots today on Wilson. The third, which was complete luck, turne dout to be a heck of a spot. THe fish were in 45 feet of water, on the bottom. There was a lot of stuff on the bottom. Some brush, some just bottom change. I was fishing along the side of a bluff. Here is a couple of pics. Hoping to qualify in Grenada for the Crappie USA regional on Wilson and Pickwick.

I've been seeing them that big at my "secret" spot, but I haven't been able to get them to take the crappie shiners, gotta trick up my sleeve though, gonna try some bass shiners on em.
makes are crappie in ohio look like minnies .nice fish guys.
Those are some beautiful fish. Never fished Wilson before but was wondering if the fish were actualy caught at the 45 ft. depth or were they suspended higher up.

well, these fish were actually caught 45 feet deep. I would drop it to the bottom and crank about 2-3 times to get it out of the brush. THese fish would littereally die within 10 minutes because of the air sacks. They were full of eggs too.
