It plumb hurts your heart seeing your favorite lake drying up like that one. When the water comes back the fishing will return to normal though. Atleast here I havent seen the fish die off due to those conditions. Clarke Hill was very bad, probably still is, looking that way during the hot, dry summers. Russell is my fishing lake now since I live about 10 minutes from it and since water is pumped into a couple towns from that lake the water level cannot get very low so the Corp will let Hartwell and Clarkes Hill get as low as necessary to keep Russell relatively full. Water is released from Hartwell to generate power and the water is generated and then pumped back into Russell constantly. It unuasual when the water isnt either being pulled or put back in but it doesnt seem to effect the fish very much. Fishing does seem a little slow when there is no water moving though.
