Welcome from GEORGIA.
I grew up in a very "sheltered" household with my grandmother with a lack of male influence isolating me from developing any "dude" skills. (A common trend with my generation and our parent's 50% divorce rate) Recently I saw a friend fishing at a lake BBQ and although I had no idea what was going on I quickly became obsessed with learning more about it. After reading a few introductory books to fishing, I bought a bait-caster and rented a small kayak and went for a spin. I didn't have long to fish but I did manage to make an interesting first catch. I was going for crappie or bluegill, but I ended up running into this bass.
Totally hooked. I've been spending almost every day fishing for a couple weeks now. Thx for all the advise and informative threads.
((Btw, I released him.))
