hey ronnie,
here in west michigan i fish lots of lakes that are clear, 10- 15fow visability at times. can spider rigging or slow trolling be an effective method in these types of lakes? and if so , how would you rig your rods (line, jigs colors, ect.)?
thanks for your time
get in, sit down, shut up and fish
Hey and thanks for asking !!! I had good success on Houghton Lake in MI back several years ago by skirting a vegetation edge. In heavy cover I like pushing a 6 rod set BGJP's by B n M Poles rigged with a 6 lb line and SINGLE 1/16 oz Lime Chart Glow tube by Southern Pro I like to match the vegetation color to my bait if possible. The favored food for blacks depending on the lake is more invertabrates than baitfish. Keeping these baits touching cover is key. Use a live bait tip and experiment with wax worms if available. Also orange tuffies have scored for me in a similar situation.
Hope this helps,
Good Fishn !!
Ronnie
