Thanks for the info! I'll be sending a package! I know what it does for moral, I've been in their boots!
Hope alot of support comes from Crappie.Com members!
I am rounding up stuff to send to some of the good guys in Afghanistan. Here is the address of one of the 101st Airborne troops that I am in contact with. I told him that he would be getting some stuff for distributing amongst the troops.
With your help, maybe we can warm the hearts of a few in a cold and distant land.
A small gift brings big smiles. I know as I have been in this situation.
If anyone decides to send items, please post what you send here. Here is a link to suggested useful items to send. I suggest we stick with the snacks and toiletries.
Just send them some stuff of your choice and reference Crappie.com.
It takes 3 weeks or so to get a package to the command.

CAV oh yeah!!! Started out as Cav in 95 reclassified to a grunt a year later then to airbourne school. Ranger selection next....When we was there we used alot of baby wipes, and plastic baggies...Also guys dont forget hunting and fishing magazines...And most important those little drink mix things you can get that go into a bottle of water....
This is something I want to be a part of. Thanks for posting the info. Not too many presents received during Viet Nam. We have to keep thanking our young warriors every day!!

☆ Take A Soldier Fishing - Official Website ☆ it has a forum like crappie.com where you can connect with servicemembers in your state who want to fish.
http://warriorsonthewater.com/ This is a green carp tournament i do every year. Good time if you bass fish some and live near NC.
Tons of other organizations out there too if you just want to donate cash. Special Operations Warrior Foundation this is one of many, VFW and American Legion have programs too.

You can count us in, Tom. Thanks for stepping up and getting this going. It is sad, but we have been over there long enough that folks are beginning to forget about our guys and gals.

Once upon a time in a Gulf far, far away was afloat while 52 fellow Americans were "guests" of the Ayatolah Kill Maniac; got a couple of care packages at Christmas time from other private citizens, and several cards from school kids, wrote them all back. Even with 4 other carriers nearby earnestly preparing to turn Iran into a big glass parking lot with glow in the dark parking lines was still a curiously lonely place; meant the world to hear from ordinary people supporting us all...same to those looking to give Has Been Laden a Christmas load of coal up to his turbanned head and SOME sort of ignition to help keep him warm in his current hiding hole; God bless those who serve, they give SO much; some give all....
