Troll motor repair
Went to Jackson today to look at TM to see which kind I might be getting to replace my old 12/24 volt Johnson, love that motor. While looking around in there someone told me about a repair place and I went over and talked to the guy. He said in his opinion that those OMC TM were the best ever made and he had most of the parts and if I needed even the lower unit that could be replaced, had to be the complete unit, don't make parts for it any more. I think he repairs all of them. Anyway I told him what my was doing and he said it sounded like one of 3 things, 1 or both of 2 switches or a wire in the head that was broken inside the insulation. Anyway I bought the 2 switches and the 1st one I replaced, the on/off switch fixed my problem. It was intermittent, would work on 24 but only sometimes on 12. Don't know if I can put him on here or not but if you need that info send me a PM and I will send it to you.
