Very nice fish.
Nice ones!
If you cast it they will come.
Excellent 'crackers! That's what I'm on about! The KING of panfish, IMHO, YMMV, etc....
Curious about your temp and the depth/structure you are finding them? I'm striking out the whole month, and wondering where they are! I give up, and go crappie fishing, waiting for the full moon.
"Alive without breath, as cold as death; never thirsty, ever drinking, all in mail never clinking."
The water temperature here is in the middle 50s which is relatively warm for this time of year. These fish gather in basically what amounts to a pond that is connected to lake Barkley via an old culvert pipe. They swim through the culvert opening every spring and forage heavily prior to nesting. There's also lots of rocks that often have snails present; it's a quality habitat for sure. It's only 2.5-3ft deep right now but will eventually be 6ft plus once they raise the lake in April.
Those are a blast on UL equipment. When I can find them..
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
