    Default Indian creek report 1-30

Fished Indian creek from 9-4 today and caught 29 keepers and only 2 shorts. Saw Ditchbasser and he was puttin on a clinic and gave me 10 so that I had to throw back the last 9 I caught. I got mine on 1/16 heads in orange or chartreuse with bg tuxedo shimmer fished 9 ft deep off the ends of lay downs or between the ends of them

Good seeing you riverboss! I left with a dozen, tossed back somewhere around a limit, endless shorts and stripe also returned. Beautiful day on the water. I started with a 1/32oz jig head using tuxedo shimmer but had to change over to a 1/16oz to get it down to the fish. Good current coming out of Indian Creek with water 39 degrees around 8AM, warmed to 41 by afternoon. Visibility of about 18 to 24 inches. All fish came single pole jigging about 5 to 6 feet deep in 6 to 8 feet of water. They were biting very light in the morning but started thumping it hard after lunch.

I returned to Indian Creek after work for a couple hours, kept 8 and returned 9 that were larger fish plus numerous shorts. The fish were on the same pattern and the water had warmed to 47 degrees.
