Thread: Well guess it's that time

Its tough from the bank for sure because the biguns are out staging in suspended areas near shallow water getting ready to spawn..... if you can find where they are staged in your boat its on! other wise its stragglers and small fish. Green trout fisherman I work with found them up at rosebury while looking for Bass after he caught one on a plug ,Monday hanging at about 12 ft over 16 ft of water that comes up into 3 to 5 ft real quick and is covered with that cursed ribbon grass .Him and his bud changed to jigs and mopped up . He said you could see them on his depth finder like a cloud. Once the water hits the magic temp of 58 to 64 they will go into the shallows there. I gave him a hard time about fishing for the slabs in place of the green carp HA

Same here went twice this week only caught a couple, figured it would be on by now

Don't know about you lakes but I caught them spawning yesterday evening. The water temperature was 59-60. Seen that and went straight to the spawning areas. all males on nest. Left them biting.
