    Default Limestone Bay, Wheeler Lake

Water was down enough for me to drive to Arrowhead. Water level is even with the parking lot, boat ramp is entirely underwater, and south of the parking lot is under water all the way to the river. Can't wait to try it tomorrow. Judging by the submerged boat ramp, water is twelve feet high, though not to stained. Thinking crappie are way scattered and I'll try some trees fifty yards off the channel. I'll let you know how it fishes.

Stopped by yesterday after work and couldn’t get through. Glad it’s going down pretty quick.

We did and it was a beautiful day. Warm, sunny, no wind, and more water than I've ever seen in Limestone. Channel temp 53, bay 55, and creeks up to 63. As you see in the photos, the water is down about eight inches from yesterday, about three feet of boat ramp is showing. Depth in the bay 11', creek channels a few feet more and the navigation channel was 30'. Thirty feet -- never seen it so deep. The sorta mud flats east of the channel were 7-8 feet. We fish most of the day and had two or three quick bites. Visibility was less than a foot, I'm guessing 6-8 inches. We motored up the creek to the left of the boat ramp, depth was 10-11 feet almost to the end of the creek, and some places were 400 yards wide. Lots of water and I don't see how TVA is going to draw it down anytime soon.Name: IMG_0749.jpg
