Thread: Gville Dam Gates open

For anyone that might be interested in going below Gville dam the gates are finally open for the first time this year. A week ago the river along with the back water was about dried up now looks like a real lake and river .Hopefully it will get back to normal fishing!!! If TVA sticks to their schedule which is dependent on rain they are going to open them up even more by Sunday .Right now they are running 69000cfs thru them.

I dropped off the mountain this evening and did a drive thru. 10 gates open and the water was fairly dirty coming thru. We're supposed to get enough rain over the weekend that most, if not all, gates may be opened. hopefully next weekend will be ideal.
