I've looked at the 198P. It looks like it could be a crappie machine. I currently have a Triton VT17, mod-v. After 10 years riding that on big lakes, hull design is top of my list on next boat.
But I'd prefer a wider beam. This one is 92", I want something like 96"

I have a sx200 bay. It is wider up front that most of the bass boats and more versatile. I don't just crappie fish. I drift fish blow dams and fish saltwater to. The glass bay boats are extremely good in rough water.

I’m looking at a new Tracker Targa V-19. Anyone know anything about the ride in rough waters? Are they hard to hold on a spot in the wind?

Rides excellent in rough seas, hard to hold yes, can't help itself with the high sides.
