    Default NEELY HENRY 2-4-15

Fished Neely Henry for 4 hours and caught lots of fish but size is still running small. Caught 25 crappie and a couple of green carp. Most of the crappie were 8-9 1/2 inches. Had 4 good keepers that were 1/2 to 1 pound. Caught them along edge of creek channel at 14-15 feet deep and in the bottom of creek channel at 20 feet deep. Water temp was 45-46. I hope the better fish will start biting soon and hope the weather will get warmer soon. I wish who ever it was that kept coming close to me fishing would have came close enough to talk so we could meet and talk some smack about the crappie fishing. If you see me on the water don't be afraid to stop and talk, I love to talk crappie with anyone who will listen.

Thanks for the report! If you ever see a black tracker pontoon boat with a "biggin" on board on Neely that'd be me! I'm hoping to get out either sat. or sun. afternoon.

My first two times out this year I caught a lot of small ones. Don't normally get that until later in the year. Made me wonder if it was going to be and off year.

I have talked to a few folks and some are catching lots of small fish and some are catching some pretty good fish. I guess it just depends on where and how you are fishing on that particular day. Any day fishing is better than a day at work anytime.

Roger I think you should be retired until you are 60 then go to work and work until you drop. you could enjoy it much more.

I have thought about that too but I don't think you would ever get anyone to start working.
