Default New Boat Repair Shop in Madison...

Anyone have any experience with that kind of new boat repair shop off of County Line Road in Madison? I used to use Dry Creek Marine in Decatur since they were right down the road from work but now that I work in Triana/Madison this place is the most convenient.

Yeah, that's them. I really like the large indoor facility they have but I really haven't heard anything about the quality of their service.

Have not used them but did give them a call a while back. They were very informative over the phone and answered all of my questions. The next time I needed work, I planned to take it to them. Most of the places will not give you the time of day over the phone.

That's one of few things I was able to gather about them. While searching for reviews yesterday, I found an article from about a year ago that was published on AL.com. The owner said he planned to run his shop different than other places in terms of customer interaction/communication and having avg turn around times of 3 business days for moderate level work.

I'll probably give them a try soon though. My past experience with Dry Creek Marine was alright. They didn't do any work without my permission and seemed reasonable on costs on some of the preventable maintenance they did. My only complaint was that they seemed slow and once buried my paperwork on their desk resulting in me not being notified when the job was done and delayed getting my boat back by a couple of weeks. I'm actually not even sure they are still in business as its been probably an entire year since I drove by.

They are no longer on the Beltline, do not think they are even in business anymore.

They service my engine last year and done a good job. They set e an appointment so the boat would not set there 3 weeks to have a service

Cool. That's a business idea I like. Perfect for my situation where my boat still runs good enough to use so I just need to bring it in when they are ready to work on it and I don't lose time on the water.

This is Taylor Edge's business. They are now located on old hwy 20 off county line road. They provide great boat service. I bought my 30hp mercury for my war eagle from them. Taylor also builds the Rescue One boats used by search and rescue organizations across the country and Thailand. I know Taylor personally. He is a great guy, and TVM will treat you right.

Like some others have said, good people to deal with and you don't have to wonder when they are going to work on your boat with the appointment set-up. I have used them and will again
