    Default Question about fishing line?

I always bought and used Sufix Elite line in 4lb test line, high visibility yellow.
Very, very, good line. I never ever had a bit of trouble out of this line, the only trouble is, the 4lb and 6lb test in yellow is hard to find. I was at Basspro shops in Prattville Monday, they did not have it, so I bought some Mr. Crappie line in 6lb test. Does anyone use this and is it reliable?

The Mr. Crappie line is excellent line, I use it along with the Sufix Siege Hi vis Tangerine/orange colored line. It's nice to have 2 different color lines while trolling so you can stagger the different colors and it really makes each line stand out. This sufix siege tangerine is very hard to find but I did find it at sportmansguide.com, I just ordered 4-330yd spools myself. Sufix is also offereing a rebate form on their website right now if you order 2 or more 330 yard spools, you just print the rebate form out on their website. Hope this helps.

I use the Mr. Crappie 4lb Hi-Vis yellow line exclusively for all my jig fishing and have had excellent results. I'm convinced that anything larger than 4lb test when jig fishing decreases your odds.

I toss 4 lb Fireline braid. It has the diameter of about 1 lb line, it's like thread, but has the strength of about 10 lb. line. It's cheap because I fill half the ultralight reel with regular line and then put it on (use a glove and put it on tight). Crank to 65 and that's about half of a 13 dollar 125 yard spool, that's all you need. I've landed 20 plus pound drum, giant channel cats and big bass on the stuff. I mainly fish Guntersville. My drag is light, so I just tell the guy in the back, "this may be awhile" but usually get them all in. It works great for crappie, I like the smoke, but it's hard to find, but the white or yellow works super and it casts a country mile!!!

So,,if I go to 6lb Fireline what will it do to the trolling depth ?/
