I've been lucky enough to go between 1-3 times per week most weeks (got lucky with 4 times last week), and even if it is just a couple of hours, I still manage a few nice-sized crappie. I did get skunked a couple of times before/around Easter, but the last couple of weeks when the weather settled a bit have been productive, although not a limit. ...

My son and his crew have been coming to my cabin for years for deer and turkey seasons. I finally have trained them up on deer where they were whacking so many didn't need me to add several to their totals. Turkey nit so much. But I have had to be the crappie slayer as they love to eat them but didn't follow my advice on how to. This...

WTG guys. I have had plans to head to Stockton for walleye like LSL angler does annually but something has always come up. How are you doing beagle? MIss your sink shots. I do mine in homage to you. May after spawn should give me a chance to give you time to come up to my place. Most of my post trips were last minute. Sent from my SM-S921U...

At least u went out Bill. As for myself I have had a few times where I didn't ketch some nice ones but been fortunate that I'm so close that I went back later on day and KABOOM HAPPENED or at least caught some. Do appreciate the post. It's fishing and sometimes this happens. Sent from my SM-S921U using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app

I have a 21 ft Lowes set up for fishing. After we bought our condo on LSL I spent whole winter looking on craigslist and wrote down hundreds of numbers from so many ads but eventually bought ours from a ad here on CDC from a member. Guys dad had set it up really well but was older and passed before he could really use it. Has livewell, TM battery...

I'd try them all but will focus on the edges of the mudline first, then the clearer water ahead of the mudline. Fish the muddy water last if I'm not having luck with the first two.

Thanks for the replies. This is what I have done. Would like some comments. I loaded my new Dobyns 7'4" Light action with Daiwa J-Braid X8. I can shoot a 1/16 jig out of sight with it. I really like this setup but I have to use 00 fast snaps in order to have the loop. This is hard on old eyes. If I break off, I'm out of luck. Just can't re-tie...

thanks for the pictures and ideas Jim. reminded me of the times I and my cousin would stay with my grandparents and I would go over to a cousins house where they had a pond with huge bass in it. Caught a bigun with my zebco 202 and a Gaddabout Gaddis lure I had sent away for. I have a pic somewhere of it and my grandpa grabbed it out of my hand...
