Today, 10:59 AMBest way to tell you at what depth to run the crankbaits, is check your electronics and where your seeing fish at the depth, run the cranks. With Lemon, I like running them about a foot or 2 above the bottom at this time of the year. I will stagger one at a medium depth of where I am seeing fish depth on electronics.6 replies | 181 view(s)

Today, 10:06 AMIn the past, I made tin jigs to get a larger profile. Inexpensive and easy trial to make tin jigs is to get round tin split shots in desired size and super glue/pinch them onto jig hooks. These can also be powder painted and eyes can be applied to the flat sides created by plier crimping. Not sure and have never seen an aluminum split shot but...6 replies | 155 view(s)

Today, 09:25 AMMost of the starting batts have the heater for that reason. However using the battery warms it up so it will eventually get warm enough to charge from the draw of the EFI and electronics on it. One guy i know turns on his livewell pump for a few minutes to warm his battery quicker, another uses a heat mat under the batteries and a jump pack with...8 replies | 217 view(s)

Today, 08:44 AMI fish year around if I'm fishing at 28 degrees and I start the motor will the starting battery charger off the motor or will the BMS keep it from charging because it's below freezing? Some brands I've heard have a built in heater but I doubt if all of the starting batteries do. Sent from my moto g(7) power using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app8 replies | 217 view(s)

Today, 08:33 AMdoing all this silliness is why I wander banks and docks instead of using my Lowrance which doesn't stay on when I turn it on. Too busy ketchn fish to bother with it. way too complicated to do all this stuff for a ancient dude like myself. Guess I should get my son to do it.8 replies | 608 view(s)
