Picked up basic Betty from the doctor late Thursday and had to see ifn she’d run any better. Nope. I believe one of the check valves in the squeeze bulb is no longer one directional and lets the fuel drain from the bulb. Didn’t stop me from fishin though, and it was a pretty good day. In about 8 and just dropped the TM and got busy. The first fish...

I fished Ditto after work Friday keeping 9 Crappie and returning a dozen larger fish. All fish came off single pole on isolated laydowns. Saturday Morning had time for a short trip back to Swan Creek, only added one Crappie the size I like, but returned 12 or 15 larger fish in the 12-to-15-inch range using single pole again on isolated...

Have you ever fished with a Crappie Master — or, maybe you are one ? I have a friend who IS one, and every time we fish together, it seems like I am fishing with the crappie fishing GOAT! I have fished for crappie with him for years, both in my boat, his boat, and from “The Crappie Dock”. (see my post (“The Crappie Dock, A Beautiful Thing”)....

Fooled with Betty today and long story short, it was suckin air inside the tank. The silicone hose between the pickup tube and connected fitting on top of the tank had gotten hard and relaxed just enough. Put a zip tie on it and I’m back in business. Couldn’t go to a different part of the river than yesterday and not try my luck. I found a few...

He and I snuck out this afternoon and hit the beds I found yesterday afternoon. There weren't nearly the numbers I expected and that could be from someone maybe picking them off this morning or who knows? Anyway, we pulled up and my son actually spotted this fish through his polarized glasses. It was behind the boat motor! After hooking this...

We sort of had camp this weekend. With all the rain the lake came up about 10 feet this week. You could find water that had decent color but most of the area around camp looked like coffee with xtra creamer. My goto when this happens is the old river channel below the dam at Warsaw. Well it didn’t disappoint. Had 18 with Dale on Friday and 23...

The stars aligned, and I finally got her talked into a fishin trip. We hit the lake at 6am, tried some shallow spots for first cpl hrs with not much luck. I think the fish were there, they just wouldn't bite. Backed off the bank and put the cheatscope to work. Caught fish on the flats around timber, 2ft to 5ft deep in 8 to 12ft water. We...

TA DAA!!!!! My pal blueball aka Jamey Bates was kind enough to donate a seat to my yard scooter project. He also delivered the seat to my house. What a good friend. I owe him an EGO net. I just happened to have one. Jamey and I had a good "catch up" visit. Sent from my SM-A526U1 using Crappie.com mobile app

I’m looking for Bandit 200 cranks. Condition doesn’t have to be new. I’m looking for some to paint for custom. Rusty or missing hooks OK. Let me know what you might have. Not interested in 100s or 300s. Text me at 270-703-7600. Sent from my iPhone using Crappie.com

I've been trying different baits (mainly soft plastics) for Gills and Crappie. I seemed to catch many times more fish and just as many larger Crappie using tiny baits on light line (4-pound test), especially in clear water. I'm curious what other board members go to is for micro finesse.

I use many methods. Super glue works good and even better when it has even a light thread base to adhere to. I have used a thread bump on the shank as well that works well with my Itty bitty slab slayer but is a bit much for the swimmers, they do better with just glue. I also have some. That deepfry made me with a light leader wire keeper akin to...
