    Default Hickory Knob State Park

A friend and I are thinking about heading to Clark's Hill this Saturday to do some striper fishing. We are looking at Hickory Knob state parks boat ramp. Anyone ever used it, and is there a bait shop anywhere near there to get herring? Thanks

Sorry Shep, just saw this post. There's a couple of places to get Herring in that area. Honey's Herring on Soap Creek Rd (follow the signs) and Palmetto Angler as you're heading into McCormick. I have not used the Hickory Knob ramp so I'm no help there, let us know how you do/did.
