    Very nice striper. I like to catch them also! Wateree is so low most guys don't want to go and mess up the boats. Lot of things unseen before are now visible hazards. Not worth the damage that could happen. Thanks for sharing your trips.

    Yeah, I've fished Wateree a few times too (with decent success). I distinctly remember hanging a downrigger ball in some of the standing timber there. Before that day, I didn't know there was timber in there. Now I know there's quite a bit...
    Now would be a good time to SLOWLY patrol the lake to see what structure is there.

    Fantastic catch. It sure is nice to see lots of big hybrids in Clarks Hill again. With both state's DNR's realizing that hybrids are much more likely to survive the summer stress than stripers and upping the percentage of hybrids stocked, hopefully fish that size become more and more prevalent. I got some nice ones jigging and throwing bama rigs this winter. Such a great lake.
