    Default Time to post

Been checking to see if people are posting anything new. Lots of old posts. It is time for the Whites to run. Can we get some posts.

Most folks recognize the Dogwood and Redbud blooming as indicators of the run beginning. I often go by the Jonquils and the Bradford Pear blooming. Saw a lot of Jonquils blooming this week. Yellowbells, another good indicator. Used to have neighbor that had a lot of Martin houses, he would call me each year when the scouts first appeared, usually the last week or so of Feb. I new I could go catch a few. I have not been yet this year but will start after all this forecast rain gets out of here. Good luck to all of you that chase the Whites.

Not trying to be a smarty pants but I usually know by when my live well fills up, everybody has there own way of determining when the bite is on but I think the only real way to know is by following the water temp. I have seen warm weather come early and they start biting in January and then the cold come back and shut them down again until it gets warm again.
FISHING, no better way to spend the day!

I agree, best way to find out if the fish are biting is to go fishing. i used to get out early in Feb and catch 9, or get skunked so I started holding off till after March 10th, pretty much limits after that once I locate them. Yellow's come along a little after the whites start.

Sorry you are going through so much. Have had herniated disc's and got over them, thank God. We got a lot of rain last night and much more forecast for next couple of days. I heard a friend caught several earlier this week. I am ready to hit it. Good luck and pray you recover from your back and hearing issues. A guy needs a strong back for pulling on those big whites.

Thanks for your kind words. I have a place or two I can get in even with high water...now dealing with the strong wind....LOL. But seems every year I go through this angst of spring rains and wind.
