    Default suprise farm pond catch

Never expected to catch stripers out of a pond I have been fishing. I had another
one on but it made a run when I tried to lip it and broke me off. I was using an ultra lite
    with #4 test.

It is strange to find stripers in a farm pond, but my buddy here in Iowa stocked some in his pond 5 or 6 years ago. I've caught only a couple of them, but they were 2 or 3 pounds. The pond is pretty well balanced with bass, blue gills, catfish, crappies, perch and walleyes. The bass, blue gill, crappies and catfish are the main fish we catch though.

No, that's a pure strain Striper. A Hybrid would have broken lines down the sides, and wouldn't be that long/lean shape ... it would have more of the shape of a White Bass.

Thanks guys, haven't been here for awhile but glad to be back. Chasincrappie that sounds like a duplicate
