Uh oh, I envision a man on the road terrorizing the crappie wherever he goes.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Little Piney is the only one that I know of. I have stayed there and it is nice place. Maybe some of the folks that live closer that fish Ky Lake will chime in.

Piney is a pretty campground, but unless there have been some changes in the past few years, they are not nearly as friendly as the state park. You can't pitch your tent on the grass on your campsite, you must pitch it on the gravel pad - we were told this after we had camp set up and the ranger informed us that WE had a problem. Paris Landing is not as big or as pretty, but the rangers have always been friendly and are not sticklers for where you park or where you pitch your tent, plus they don't charge a fee for visitors.

I have a travel trailer at Hidden Creek Resort and we have tent campers through out the year. It is a private owned campground (mom and pop) and boat ramps are within a couple of miles. These ramps will put you on the Big Sandy arm of the lake where the one at Piney will put you on the Tennessee River, better crappie fishing on Big Sandy. There is also a store on site with an attached bar and live entertainment on the weekend, also have a bath (shower) house, plenty of shade, trees, grass and friendly people. Located on West Antioch Road right off of Highway 79. Hope this helps.
