They don't give you a choice! :) A friend of mine and I spent 4 hours pressure washing and cleaning the boat after I pulled it out of Lake Worth. So I thought the boat was clean.
But when I hit their check station the inspector stated he found small live mussels in the tank section. So he spent two hours pressure washing the tank section, the logs and the under-deck with some kind of solution to kill anything that was on the boat.
The service didn't cost me anything but I had to wait at the checkpoint until he was satisfied with his job.
I actually felt sorry for him, as it was cold, raining and windy. So while I sit in my warm truck while he was doing the pressure washing, he was out in the windy cold rain doing the pressure washing. I don't think I would have been as thorough as he was, had I been the one in the cold rain doing it.
