After this long period I am finally getting to fish Lake Washington. I have made 5 trips in the last two weeks.

I am finding there is very little structure in Lake Washington. The sunken forests shown on the maps appear to be laydowns, not standing timber. I have found the wooden posts by the Sea Hawks training area but little else.

Yesterday I found fish in that area but not on the wood itself. However I could not get them to bite.

This is a large lake, with very deep water so it is totally different from the lakes I know how to fish.

Can anybody who fishes Lake Washington for crappie give me any pointers for fishing the lake for crappie? I am not asking for the GPS coordinates of your honey holes, just for general advice on fishing for crappie on this lake.

Are there areas where crappie tend to hang out in schools?

Since there is not that much structure on the lake do they hang out in shallow or deep water on the lake?

What temperature ranges do they prefer on this lake.

Right now I am spending most of my time scanning the lake, trying to find structure and fish. So any help you can provide will be appreciated.

Also would anybody like to go fishing with me? As you can tell, the only thing I can guarantee is time on the water as I definitely can not guarantee you will catch anything.
