We were probably not as hot as Texas but if you would have been here this summer you wouldn't be moving to Richland to escape the heat. Hottest summer I've been through here, especially in the Powder and Snake river canyons. But the fishing was just as hot. From May into October I didn't have a trip that we caught less than 100 fish. Size wise they were probably nothing like the Toledo Bend fish but there currently are a lot of them.

Thanks guys for all the nice complements slabman I lived there for 15 years in the hot part of the summer was no biggie I know how hot it can get there but it doesn't last not like here in Texas of course the fish are bigger here but I think I enjoy going back home to the little town where I come from the people are unbelievable there and I enjoyed their company I don't like big cities were a lot of people ask why Richland Oregon was perfect to do catch a lot of crappie and Brownlee not only that but I did enjoy catching smallmouth bass which they don't have here in Toledo we've already found a home in Richland we are just waiting on the sale of the place here in Texas I've enclosed a picture this is how homesick I do get at times I like to look at where I fished the most in the past.

yes I know the fishing is fantastic care but don't care for the heat which never ends all day and all night where I come from it cools down into the 50s after a day of hundred and 10° weather that is the good thing about Eastern Oregon where I come from it is not like in Texas where it doesn't cool off at all and will stay there 85° all night long day after day.
