    Default walleye under lights?


    I've heard you can catch walleye under lights,but we have only caught a couple 11 inchers,while crappie fishing,anyone ever have much success with this?

    The walleyes eyes are real sensitive that is why they are primarily night feeders this time of year especially. You might pick up a few that way but would be better off just fishing under the moonlight for them. They have really good eyesight and can be caught on nights that are pitch dark even!

    I made a post while back under the Colorado state forum about catching walleyes using lights. Works great here.

    I would think light attracts bait in walleye waters and then the predators ....
    no clue about the walleye being near light ,but we see everything else under lights at night here ....

    its a misnomer they wont come near the lights, just look at my post for my night trip last weekend under the Colorado state forum.
