No. Tell us how they do. Found the fish had moved from flats to timber yesterday. Caught 16 fish in 3 hours but also lost a lot of jigs.

Been using weedless jigs for several decades. 1/32 & 1/16oz with a variety of weed guard types.

Started out with the Oldham's Weedless Crappie jig (thin wire loop guard) .. until Terry Oldham decided to no longer produce them.

Then went to some local made weedless jigs with a Y shaped plastic guard ... until I was down to my last few.

Then I sent one of them to our member Grousefly ... and had him start producing them for me, along with the "fiber brush" style guards.

Health & production problems has made getting the Y-guard weedless jigs made a very slow process, so I've been using the "brush" style jigs more often, with good results. I just prefer the Y-guard style. I also prefer having them custom made, rather than store bought, because I can choose my color of hook & guard, and especially because I can have my 1/32oz & 1/16oz jigs made with a #2 Aberdeen hook. I choose that size because I use some plastics that are 3" & have thick bodies, where a #4 hook would leave little to no gap between the hook point & the body of the grub.
