Default After work trip. Loooong overdue

Haven’t fished since April. Been having the fever bad but been busy. Weather was beautiful after work. I ask Marsha if she wanted to go and she said “Sure”. Do I hooked up, wiped off most of the pollen and spider webs and off we went. Bought some small minnow and headed for a little piece of brush that normally hold a few fish all summer.

Beautiful evening with wonderful women. And about a dozen fished played along. Didn’t over stay. Loaded up anc picked up a milkshake. Sure did have a good time.

Think I’ll go again soon! Have a great weekend all.

Way to go. When I grow up, I want to be just like you only taller.

    Isn't that an oxymoron?

I love you guys. Yesterday (Sat) morning I went to the river early and found crappie everywhere I looked. Caught 70 crappie, 2 bream, 3 catfish. Tide stopped moving and they stopped biting. I headed home. Talked the baby boy into going back with me this morning for a Father/Son sunrise trip. Of course I promised easy catching. Well…… the fish were gone. GONE! We caught 3 fish in two hours. But I had fun. Fed an Osprey. Watched an Eagle. Deer playing on shore. Nice morning.

I did dress up. Wearing some of my Sunday best!!!

I'm on a high! AFter a long dry spell, I have managed to fish a little bit, 4 days in a row!! Not today, too hot.

Saturday. Morning solo trip. Bunch of fish.
Sunday. The boy went along for a sunrise trip. Fish did not attend. Caught 3.
Monday. After work with Wife an the Girl. Good catching in between phone play.
Tuesday. Took two friends who recently retired out for an afternoon trip before the heat returns. Lot of catching. Much fun.

The water has warmed up to 85°. Too warm for minnows. They die fast. So the last 3 trips have been all 1/16 jig head and 2" grubs. Color didn't seem to matter. Fish 8-13' of water. They like it on the free fall, or let it hit bottom and they would hit as soon as you lift it up. It's really nice when the play along.

And this guy tried to take Allen's favorite jig away. That is some really strong 4# Crappie Max line. Plus, I give him grief for that crazy knot he ties, where he whip/spins the jig around the doubled line. I make fun of it, but it obviously holds up.

Oh, all fish returned to the water. I go to Captain D's for my gourmet fish. The 2 fish that have been gut hooked where quickly picked up by the Osprey family nearby. The baby's call out to thank us.

My wife loves Captain Ds and she is my fishing partner.
We have great fun, more power to you.
