Default Bluegills start bedding at what water temperature?

This may have been asked a dozen times before but I’m brand new here and don’t see it. I’ll be fishing out of Williamsburg and am wondering when they’ll be bedding locally. Any help will be appreciated.

Welcome. Unless it's too cold I don't think the temperature has as much affect as the lunar cycle. Seems like bedding starts around the full moon in May. A lot of places it will go a couple of cycles till Fall unless the shallows get really hot.

If the bluegills aren't on the bed, I'd bet the shellcrackers are.....

Richard Gene had a video out a few days ago. Saying they would spawn around the full moon all summer long
