    Default Tulls creek info ?

I have seen some of u guys post from way back on mostly crappie fishing tulls creek and am interested in bluegill fishing. My question is about the two landings, one at the bridge and one on poyners rd. The one on poyners rd.looks to be kind of isolated and was wanting to know if your vehicles are safe there from vandalism.Have a 18ft alumanum boat if that would be a problem launching, thanks

The landing at the bridge has been closed for years unless recently re-opened. It was a bear getting out of at times due low water and had to go out with the troller. Poyners is by far better and you shouldn't have any problem getting out, unless a tree has fallen. I had my tool box on my truck broken into there years ago and a big bag of metric tools stolen. But at least no damage to the truck. It is a good ramp.

I have lived just south of the ramp on Poyners road ramp for over 30 years and have never heard of any theft at all. But as the county is growing and the VA people are coming down I suppose it is a matter of time. As Bob's gets full a lot of skiers are using the ramp. They are a very disrespectful towards folks that are fishing. Most of the waters around me I stay off till they pack up. The ramp at Tulls Bay is HOA only, the other one has been closed for some time now. Even Shingle landing is seeing the Va boaters loading up the parking lot. I am sorry if this seems a bit hateful but I have been dang near run over, thrown out of my boat, thrown into the trees, to many times. Northwest river is just CRAZY. I have been going out to the Suffolk lakes for the summer. Much better.

Where is Shingle Landing Dave? I fergit. I'm the only person I know that got hit at Poyners. I started parking next to the road and never had any more problems. But like I said that was a long time ago.

Shingle Creek is on Moyock Landing road, the one with the Nursing home near the tracks.

I've had no problems at Poyners, but Tulls has been full of brackish water much like the NWR this year. Other than for White Perch it's been pretty disappointing this year.
