I’m visiting the area from Arkansas. I’m here to compete in the half-Ironman in Roanoke, but we’re staying near Glasgow at the Jellystone RV Campground.

When I’m not training I LOVE to catch crappie. So I check this board to see what the locals are catching wherever I happen to be.

This thread just about got me choked up!

We’re all doing our best to raise the generation behind us and convince the one in front of us that it’s not all going to hell.

Great stuff about the teacher trying to instill empathy in his/her pupils.

I’m trying to ask myself often, “are you being what you want the world to become?” Kinder, gentler more forgiving.

Unless you’re catching crappie with LiveScope.... then you’re just a lost cause. No debate about that right?James river crappie and other cool stuff!James river crappie and other cool stuff!James river crappie and other cool stuff!

Loop knot, i fish out of a kayak. No electronics used mostly, but i do own sidescan and downscan capabilities. I know people that have livescope, and i believe it ups their game some. But knowing your water to me is better. Last year produced 9 fish @2lb or 15" without electronics, numberous other species too. Lastly, just cause you found em, doesnt mean there gonna bite.

Fishing is fishing whether you have and use Livescope or not. Its just a tool. You get to choose if you want to use it or not. Great post by Dayton on doing what he does. Let's all try doing what he does!

Heard a quote the other day:

"We talk about leaving a better planet for our kids, how about leaving better kids for our planet?"

I think you've done your part there Dayton!
