Default Feb. 6 A.C.T North River crappie tourney

Had a great day at North River back on the 6th. Joel Moreland (on the right) is my fishing partner and is a kick butt angler and the best fishing partner anybody could ask for. We weighed in 9.50 pounds on 8 fish. Big fish was 1.30 but we were beat on big fish by a 1.50+ fish. 21 boats was our biggest turn out to date. I'm sure the trail will be back next year there. Lots of good anglers there sure made it tough. Saw Tahoe 50 there. Was good to see you Tahoe!CFName: IMG_20210206_200326.jpg

For those of you that remember Squirle Hunter, I ran into him a week or two before the tourney on North river. He was still fishing his Bay Hawk and hadn't changed a bit.He said Pete (Dr. Speckle) was doing really good. Was great to see one of the old posters from years ago from here.CF

CF, is that you on the left? If so, I take back all I ever said about taking you down a notch or two. You might be a little too much for me.

Seems like you are doing well.

Bill, He is about my Son's age. Fine young fella. He has more drive than I do. At first, I had to teach him a lot but he caught on quick and now is my equal. He showed me early on that He was really interested in what I was showing him. Like a sponge. That made it a real pleasure to teach him. Now He is teaching me. He has my full confidence and made me very proud. It will be amazing for me to see how he takes what I showed him and build on it over the years ahead. I told him he would be dangerous. He also learned a lot from to me is a local legend back home. Learned tons from him before he and I met.

He and I have won 7 tournaments together and He won another fishing with another partner before we teamed up. It's really cool to be able to pass on what you have learned to someone that eats it up and is so worthy of it.CF
