Default Short Trip on NW River

Made it out to the NW River late on Friday morning, around 9 am. It was my own fault for being late: hem and hawed around, going/not going, too windy/go anyway. Forecast was for 10 - 15 mph winds, with gusts to 25 mph. I finally realized you can make excuses not to go on every trip...so I went.

Sure enough, I was blown off the water around noon, but I caught 8 fish in the 3 hours I fished: 5 crappie, and 3 green carp. Two of the crappie were around 13", and I thought that was a decent sized fish for the NW.

    Sure am glad I went.

    Good luck,

Not a one, TomO. Not yet. No white perch either. I might have been too deep for the YP. I was in 10 - 12 FOW. I normally find the YP at NW in 5 - 6 FOW. Gonna try again this weekend.
