    Default Buggs Island 12-15 Report


    Had another fun day on the big pond after a chilly start. Caught about 30 crappie including this nice white that went 16" and weighted 2lbs 1oz. I also caught a couple of 14's, and several 12's and 13's. Fish today were tight to brush, no open water fish today for me. They still preferred hair jigs over plastic, some tipped with minnows.     Nice work Roy! Took the wife down to Buggs and fished Friday afternoon and Saturday. Only managed to find a few crappie willing to bite but found plenty of stripers that loved our jigs. Caught 31 stripers which was a blast on the long rods and have several hooked up but not landed.

    The stripes sure are allot of fun to catch and right tasty! Sounds like a great trip!
