Cole, do a search. Put in fishing in Virginia, it looks like you can then find a lot of info, for rivers and lakes.

Thank you! I did that while ago and have caught other fish (panfish (my freshwater favorite to fish for haha), catfish, bass). Haven’t found much on crappie but would love to catch one. I love panfishing so I feel like crappie fishing would be up my ally. I hear that the colder it gets around here the better the crappie fishing is

I hear Occoquan River is the place to be.

If you have a military ID, Fort Belvoirs MWR fishing pier is good.

Or, Jones Point Park which has a few fishing piers that stick out into the Potomac. I've seen some crappie pulled up from there. But the place gets crowded. Look up some spots by searching Youtube for the Potomac.

I know nothing about fishing from the DC side.

You can also rent a small boat (bring your own outboard motor) and explore a lot of docks and piers along the potomac. The rate at Bell Haven Marina is about $40 for 4 hours for rowboat.
