It's been 25 years of so since I fished there. I used to target where the creek channels connected to the main lake channel this time of year towards the upper end, Cattle Creek and such. Hope this helps.

I fish chesdin .l think the swamp back by Allen's Marina that area is the best place to starte ,this time of year .I hope to get out there a couple times before the bash at the nwr in Febuary .March is my favorite month to fish Chesdin. I saw a 4lbs crappie at Dances that was caught there.

Heard the bridge at whipponott? Never been there personnally.
I do know a guy that caught a 3 pounder st Chesdin in spring on a chatterbait during a bass tournament
It's been a while since I lived there, but if you can find a beaver house in one of the creeks(there used to be several) there will be a cache of branches near it stuck in the bottom, and in winter they always held a bunch.
Trolled 100 miles one day trying to catch a walleye over there, reckon I need some local knowledge about them to get one. Fish doc showed us how on Philpot but no luck on Chesdin with what we learned from him.
