    Default Hey all. New kid in town.


    Hello fellas recently relocated to Va from Illinois. I am an avid fisherman and have had my boat out a couple times here. Lake Anna, chesdin, the lower James. I’m having a heck of a time getting adjusted to the VA crappie climate. I’m used to artificials over live bait. I have a couple 10’ poles and dock shooter rigs. I guess any help pointing my compass in the right directions. I would love to hop in or have someone hop in with me one weekend so we could share the day, some gas and kinda get me on the crappie tail trail. I will say the tidal James has been extra humbling. Have a good one.

    Welcome aboard. I bugged outa Illinois too. I'm sure someone will chime in and help with fishing your new location. I'm unfamiliar with VA myself. Would love to make it out there some day.

    Hey Slab, these reservoirs fish a whole lot different than Shelbyville. Throw in the tidal James and whoo baby it’s a different world.

    Welcome from rva. Lower james pits are good. Chickahominy lake and river are excellent choices RIGHT NOW. Various lakes within a 50 mile radius. Best of luck.
