    Question Lynchburg Crappie

I am wanting to start crappie fishing this year after being a flat head catfish fisherman for years. I really wanted to start last year but the weather and river level's have really made it difficult.

So If I want to add the best eating fish to my freezer in the Lynchburg area (can be anywhere like Monican Park, or Big Island) I am open for ideas. I know I have to retire my big rods but I can do that....

Sandy Creek other side of Farmville is good but the best crappie fishing is Buggs Island

James River crappie are hard to find. 3 public lakes in Amherst, Stonehouse, Mill Creek and Thrasher all good for crappie. Smith Mountain is closest best place.

Thanks Mountain Man. I am familiar with the Amherst lakes but may give SML a try.
