    Genec and Roy I was looking to come down to Gaston mid March to crappie fish looking for a good place to start would be appreciated

    That's really Gene's neighborhood, lol. I'm sure that when he see this he will shoot you a PM. I would imagine by then the crappie will be moving to the back end of most creeks. Now to you troll multiple rods or single pole fish? I know that I would be checking docks back in the creeks,

    At that time of the year Roy is right. When I used to fish Gaston My best creeks were the back of Holly Grove and Poplar creek. I long lined back then pulling 1/32 jigs. At that time of the year we used to catch some slabs!!!!

    Thanks jimb barncle bill Roy I'll be pulling corks and tighlining and I have a pole for dock shooting I appreciate the info

    Just saw your post, this year is not normal but if it would warm up ,I would get into any major creek and ride towards the back till it gets 10 feet and start fishing till motor kick up mud, but as for me I would look at those docks on deeper side and fish those start where water is 10 ft in middle.however if it keeps raining and cold, your quest is as good as mine,lol,pm me before you go and let me know which end of lake you will be at , may can help you,my my this weather, praise the Lord we are still doing well
