Richmond Fishing Expo worth going?
The 2019 Richmond Fishing Expo is this weekend, Jan. 18 - 20, 2019. Is this the same big winter outdoor expo they used to have at the old fairgrounds? Or is this some new version of it? Is it still really big with all kinds of boat and fishing tackle and electronics vendors or some weaksauce version?

Unless you are a hard-core bass fisherman in my opinion it is not worth going. The show has been getting smaller and smaller every year for the last eight years or so. There are a lot of tobacco giveaways food flavorings artists and other miscellaneous crap vendors. Some bass boats and a few saltwater boats and last year had a decent amount of kayakS And accessories.
Now that Mr. Mark has passed away and will not be there, I won’t be going back

Nope. The relatively short list of vendors sounded a lot like how you described it. Seems the move to Doswell has helped the death spiral. I've never actually been to anything that has moved to the new fairgrounds - including the fair - but just sounds like everything is smaller and less interesting up there. Too far for me to drive if it isn't like it used to be.
