Pulled an all day trip today below the dam. Everything is over 11" and on artificial.

Nice stringer Wooduck. My day went downhill fast. Ran down river with boat motor acting weird. Had to come back and get minnows out of truck bed. Where I wanted to fish had wind against the tide and everything I touched went bad. Motor died on the way back. A couple of nice guys in a Skeeter tied up and bright me home. Eooduck helped me load the boat. I should have went to work!!

Did manage a few fish. One nice striper. One 14” crappie. Small catfish.

Nice stringer of fish! And that's a nice slab, Dayton!

I got out myself, slow half-day. Mostly a shake-down cruise to make sure my boat and ready. Caught this 11", an couple other smaller ones, and this big chub. I read online this species is called the Shenandoah Tarpon

Hey, wasabi ... you sure that's a "Chub" and not a Skipjack Shad ?? I've caught Skipjack Shad (aka Blue Herring) in Tenn ... on jigs & on minnows ... and they jump when hooked, just like a Tarpon, such that they have the other nickname of "Tennessee Tarpon".

No, I am not 100% sure it is a chub. I’d never seen a chub this big so searched yesterday after catching it and found a picture posted by some VDGIF folks who identified it. It sure looked similar to their picture. It’s at this link

Nice stringer of fish Mark. Dayton check your fuel lines for the inner liner coming apart. I had mine fouled
    out my fuel pump really
bad. Replaced the fuel line from the tank to the motor. Then rebuilt the fuel pump. Runs good now but have to
very to squeeze the primer bulb every time I shut down for a while. Just a thought.
