    Default BM Saturday

Fished BM with grandson Saturday. Water was stained and 47 degrees. Fished deep and shoreline fallen trees using jigs with zero luck. At least 5 year old grandson got lots of practice operating trolling motor (mostly in circles).

You sure the water temp was 47 and not 57? I have never seen it that cold in mid November. Have not fished there much in November. I will look through my fishing log when I get home and see if and how I ever had any luck there this time of year.

Well, I looked at my log and while I have fished Burnt Mills a lot, very rarely was it in November. On Nov. 27, 2015, (water temp was 55) between me and my daughter we got 4 up in the stump field on a flat, and on Nov. 23, 2013, (water temp was 54) I did better and caught 30, here's my log entry:

I picked up 30, all around 10”. 29 of them around submerged island off bottom as deep as 20’ with most around 16’ down, some 10’ down, money jig and wasshoppahs.

TapOut I think you are correct the water may have been 57. My memory is not as sharp as it once was.

It's a lot colder up that way. When I have fished there on the colder months I usually watch the temp drop about 10 degrees from the time I leave my house and get to Chick Lake.
