    Default been a while

whats up fellows....been a while since i been on here....or crappie fishing....had some health issues, 2 pulmonary embolisms in the last 23 months, but it didnt get me...lol...trying to get back into the groove...looking like climbing in the boat gona be easier than the tree stand so may look @ way more fishing this fall, i hope......made some adjustments on the boat & trailer in my down time, some needed, some to keep mom agreeable to me going...lol...electric winch & steps on the trailer and a bimini top on the boat, cant take the heat on these blood thinners...anyway finally had a trip to buggs last week with no mechanical problems....moral here dont let yer stuff sit inactive for 18 months...
put in @ longwood & went to island creek and made a loop back into grassy...all i do do if you dont remember is jigs and spoons,no minners in my boat, and ended up with 12 7-8' crappies, all still swimming, and 3 we ate for supper, 1 @ 12", 1 @ 13' & 1 @ 15"....all on bush piles in 12-30 fow....rained all week this week & calling for rain next week but hope to get back soon.....sucks getting old, but it beats the alternative....Name: top1.jpg

Good post and catch. Glad you're on the mend. The boat looks like it will camouflage pretty well, just have to park it where the deer and antelope play and you might get to hunt all day. lol

Good report. I use to have a CC with a bimini top. Loved that thing!

Good to see you posting on here, the more reports the better. Been a strange year for the weather, never remember a summer with this much rain. Got to be because of goal warming I guess, lol. Thanks for the report. Hope to start getting back after them soon myself.

Mike I know how you feel. This year his been my year for health also. Heart surgery on the first of June, been slow recovery. I got ya on the meds and the heat. I do feel so much better now. I can't wait for fall now. Hopefully I will be able to get out there and meet and greet again. Maybe catch some fish if Roy and Gene will leave us some.

Hope everyone on here gets to feeling better. Been too hot or rainy for me. Gene's still been fishing Gaston so we're not hurting any fish, lol. Hunter you know what I mean about no fish below the bridges, wished everyone believed that
