    Default Smith mountain

I'm going to Smith mountain lake this weekend. I'll be kayaking around trying to catch some freckles, wondering if anyone has any helpful tips for that lake? I'll be mostly in a big cove on the northern end of the lake between goodview and money.
    Thanks,
    Travis

Was at SML last weekend near the State Park. Caught some dock dwelling gills after dark in the lights. No Crappie found or caught. Hope this helps some, I know it’s a little late.

Daughter in law and grandson where catching gills, bass, and cats from the docks yesterday. Grandson is one heck of a gill catcher. He got a 7 foot pole for his birthday and he's learning how to dabble for those gills. Yesterday a 4# largemouth showed up. They were fishing somewhere on the western side of the lake at the south end.

Thanks, I didn't catch any crappie but managed a couple little large mouths. Had alot of fun trying though.
